Leariel Pelwan
Testimony: Former Drug Addict & Dealer
Leariel Pelwan is 34years old and started using drugs at the age of 23. He turned to drugs because his ex-girlfriend cheated on him with his friend. This affected him badly because they were all working in the same company together.
He lost his job in 2009 because of his violent behaviour at the workplace. Thereafter he joined the wrong crowd and one of the gangsters in Westbury introduced him to Cocaine and then Cat, which then lead to Crystal Meth. He also started selling drugs in Westbury from his house.
In 2015, he met his wife Crystal and they married in 2016. In 2019, his wife became very ill with kidney problems and then they started attending church. At the end of 2019, Crystal approached the pastors for help with Leariel’s drug problem. Leariel, committed to accept help, and at the beginning of 2020 he went to a recovery center in the area where he was given the help he needed.
Once out of recovery, Crystal passed away from a kidney disease. This is when Leariel encountered God. He decided to change his life: He stopped drinking and gave his heart completely to the Lord.
Azaria recruited him to reach out to the community of Westbury with the drug abuse, and to help people that were in the same situation as him. He is now the Community Leader, helping us connect to all the families and individuals in the area that need help.
Shamiel Ameer
Testimony: Former Drug Addict & Dealer
Shamiel is 42 years old and started as a dealer and then drug addict. He has now given his heart to the Lord.
Slava Family
Denise Slava came to the Lord because of her son Lindley. Initially, he wanted help from drug addiction, but subsequently refused to get the help.
However, the rest of the family have come to the Lord: Denise, her husband and five children.
Denise has made a commitment to get her life in order as there are many generational and bloodline issues in the family. During one of our prayer sessions at her home, she was delivered from many oppressive spirits that have been tormenting her for years. She recently attended the Keys to your Faith Course and thereafter got baptized and is currently attending the course Keys to your freedom.
Darryl Moses
Testimony: Former Drug Addict & Dealer
Darryl is 48 years old and started as a dealer and then drug addict. He has now given his heart to the Lord and been baptized.
Elgernin Erasmus
Testimony: Former Drug Addict & Dealer
The Devil is wicked. He will cause you to pay more than you can ever afford to. His enticement is veiled with promised thrills of pleasure, yet his real mission is to Steal, Kill and Destroy, John 10:10.
This was what Elgernin, 23, of Westbury found out, painfully. He got introduced to drugs at 13.
It was then given for free, just mere fun and recreation among older friends. But then came Elgernin's turn to supply the drugs.
And the stealing started. He stole from family and then graduated to stealing from neigh-bours, going deeper to house breakings, just to feed the drug addiction. It became a downward spiral to destruction.
Elgernin's testimony: "I started stealing, from home - took my dad's brand-new tool set and
sold it, that's when I
realized I needed to steal from outside - so then I started breaking into people's homes, breaking into cars and stealing.
Then I realized this is taking me to the grave - I got taken deeper and deeper. I ended up on the streets.
In 2020 I was introduced to Azaria Help
Foundation as I wanted to change my life and leave the streets of Johannesburg.
AHF sponsored me to go to Rehab for 6 months. In 2021 I got baptized and made a decision to serve the Lord." Praise God!
